Scripture: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10
Reflection: In July, the Lord placed three simple, yet powerful words on my heart: Restore. Renew. Remain. As we step into the new year of 2026, I believe those words are not just for a season—they are an invitation. Scripture says in Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” This prayer reminds us that real change doesn’t begin with our own effort alone, but with a surrendered heart before God. As a new year begins, it’s easy to focus of resolutions—goals we want to achieve, habits we want to change, plans we want to accomplish. But this year, let us seek something deeper than resolution. Let us seek revelation. Let us ask God to show us who He is calling us to become and where He is inviting us to grow. May this be the year God restores what has been broken or worn down in your heart. May He renew your mind with truth, peace, and purpose. And may you remain steadfast in faith, rooted in His Word, and anchored in His love, even when life feels uncertain. As we walk into 2026, let our greatest desire be to grow closer to Him. Not to just know about God, but to truly know Him. May this year mark a deeper relationship, a stronger faith, and heart continually shaped by His grace. Restore. Renew. Remain. Let this be our prayer, and our posture for this year.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as we step into this new year, we come before You with humble and open hearts. We ask You to restore out hearts to wholeness as only You can do. We ask You to renew us from the inside out, renew our minds with Your truth and our spirits with Your peace. Lord, help us to remain in You and rooted in Your Word. As we walk into this new year, we ask that You bless us and keep us in all of Your ways. We thank You for Your faithfulness in every season. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
