From June 19-21, 2024, our church was buzzing with excitement and faith-filled activities during our OUTRAGEOUS Faith Vacation Bible School! Every evening from 6 to 8 p.m., children embarked on an adventure of learning, fun, and spiritual growth. Each night, they rotated through engaging lessons, interactive activities, thrilling games, and creative crafts, all centered around the theme of outrageous faith in God.
Wednesday kicked off with an unforgettable live-action Bible lesson reenacting the epic showdown between David and Goliath. Our talented church members brought the story to life as they portrayed Israelites, David, and the mighty Goliath. Through David’s remarkable faith, the children learned how trusting in God can conquer any giant in their lives.
Thursday’s highlight was a dramatic reenactment of Moses parting the Red Sea, showcasing the miraculous power of God. The children watched in awe as the Egyptian army was swallowed by the sea, emphasizing how God’s faithfulness delivers His people from impossible situations.
Friday culminated in a powerful lesson on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who stood firm in their faith even in the fiery furnace. The children were inspired by their unwavering trust in God, learning how they too can boldly face challenges with faith.
Throughout the week, crafts echoed the biblical stories, with activities like painting rocks, creating Moses-themed crafts, and crafting visual representations of the fiery furnace using tissue paper. Interactive activities included building towers to illustrate the importance of a strong foundation in Christ and using objects in water to demonstrate the miraculous parting of the Red Sea. Water games added a splash of fun every night, keeping spirits high and smiles wide.
To wrap up this incredible week, VBS families were invited to a joyous picnic on Friday, complete with hotdogs, snow cones, inflatable water slides, and more, fostering fellowship and celebration.
OUTRAGEOUS Faith VBS 2024 was a testament to the power of faith and community. We are grateful for all who participated, and we pray that the lessons learned and memories made will continue to inspire bold faith in the hearts of our children and families throughout the year.
